I love music. Listening to music and trying to play music. I say trying because I have never really mastered any instrument. Yet that has never stopped me from trying. While I love many conventional instruments, I have always had a soft spot for folk instruments. I have imagined myself playing the washboard.

I love music; all kinds of music. When my wife and I started to have a family we discussed how we wanted to make sure our children heard a diversity of musical styles. I wanted to make sure a wide variety of music seemed “normal” to their young ears.  I was proud of myself for being so “open minded.”

There are few things in life that make me feel more cultured than when our season opera tickets arrive.
