Rock Out with Your Bach Out

I love music; all kinds of music. When my wife and I started to have a family we discussed how we wanted to make sure our children heard a diversity of musical styles. I wanted to make sure a wide variety of music seemed “normal” to their young ears.  I was proud of myself for being so “open minded.”

A Walk with my Son

Today my son is one month old. This is part of the reason I have not put up a post for that amount of time. There were no complications with the birth, but my waking hours have consisted on taking…

The Little Red Cup – Green Eyebrow

One of my first forays into quality, organic, and fair trade tea was a company called The Little Red Cup out of  Brunswick, Maine. Not only did it taste great, but it also eased some of my guilt for loving something that was seeped in Imperial baggage. (Yes that was an attempt at a a bad pun.)

Home Altar – Better Look

In two previous posts I talked about our home altar. So here is a snap shot of what we keep on it. On top we keep our small collection of relics, some prayer cards, statues of saints, and rosaries/chaplets. The things that we probably use the most. Some of these items, such as the second degree relic of Ven. Solanus Casey, have as much sentimental value as religious since my mother gave it to me as a young child.
