There are few things in life that make me feel more cultured than when our season opera tickets arrive.
This year the Michigan Opera Theatre is showing two classics, Bizet’s Carmen, and Puccini’s The Girl of the Golden West (well it is a lesser known Puccini, but still) and two contemporary operas, Puts’s Silent Night, and MOT’s own David DiChiera’s Cyrano on the main stage. The MOT Studio Artists are also preforming Adamo’s Little Women off site. This should be an exciting season not only for the music, but also because they are much needed date nights.
