Now spring if firmly hear, we are all about getting the bikes out for a family ride. I am still sporting my 2007 Raleigh One Way Awhile it is not as sporty as it once was, I still love the fixed gear system for the stability. Especially now I have a little co-pilot.
My wife has a Yuba Boda Boda (non-electronic) that is set up for transporting the older two kids. The kids also have their own transportation, but sometimes we want to move faster… and so do they. The biggest fight we have when we go on family rides is what kind of dinosaur or rocket ship the kids will pretend the bikes will be. I do feel a little bad my wife has the bigger payload. I am probably the better (stronger?) rider, but she does fine with her bike.
In the true spirit of a spring ride, we hit a few sprinkles on the ride home tonight, but we also had a lot of laughs. Summer will be here soon, and we will wish we had a few cool drops. The smell of spring is overwhelming right now. So is the color. It is a great time of year for a ride.
